How-to make Ginger Tea

Today we’re going to learn all about the
anti-nausea effects of ginger and I’m gonna show you my favorite
ginger tea recipe. The research suggests that taking ginger in addition to your
anti-nausea medication may work even better to prevent nausea than just taking your medication alone. The amount of ginger that seems to help
is one quarter teaspoon ground ginger or half a teaspoon of fresh ginger. If
you’re using fresh ginger don’t just stop it slicing the ginger
you want to make sure that you either crush or grate the ginger to release some of
the nausea fighting compounds. Ginger can thin the blood so check with
your doctor if you’re on blood-thinning medication And to be on the safe side avoid
drinking lots of ginger tea for two weeks before a surgery. Drink the tea as is or you can try adding some honey or
maple syrup if you like it a little bit sweet. You
can also add a squeeze of lemon or lime which may help to stimulate your
appetite and some people find that they help to reduce nausea. If you have a sore mouth you can try
adding citrus zest instead of the juice. It’ll give you the same flavor without the acidity. I hope you enjoy this recipe for ginger tea and remember to take it along with the
anti-nausea medication. Where nausea is concerned prevention is key.
