Hey guys this is Devin Millar, from Millar’s Organic Wood Roasted Coffee. We use a wide range of different types of wood. Including Alder, Cherry, Maple, and for this month we are using Hazelnut. I’m going to show you how we roast our coffee from start to finish. So what we are going to do here first, is cut some wood. Alright so now that we have started the fire, let’s turn on the exhaust fan. Alright, so now that the roaster is going, lets use the hoist lift to put some green coffee and put them in the barrels. Alright, now lets fill up the bucket so we can fill the roaster. Alright, let’s fill the hopper now. Alright, now it’s hot enough so let’s drop the coffee now. This is where we check the color of the coffee. We have about 20 minutes to wait before it’s done. Alright so now we have a crackle. Let’s pay attention to the color now. As it goes hotter, it starts to get sort of that brown-ish color, and that’s what we want. Okay, so it’s a perfect Lucia color. Let’s drop it. Alright so now it’s ready to be bagged up and delivered.
